Fisiwe Bhembe (32), the woman who is accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death has confessed that the reason why she stabbed and killed Mphumelelo Ndzinisa was because he was forcefully demanding sex from her.
According to statements recorded and submitted before the court, Bhembe who hails from the Moneni area alleged that she and Ndzinisa were once in love, but they broke up, however, they would hook up for casual sex from time to time, especially when they were drunk.
She alleged that on the day the offence was committed, Ndzinisa invited her to a local drinking spot, which also happens to be his (Ndzinisa’s) place of abode.

She alleged that upon arrival, at the water hole, they enjoyed the alcoholic beverages together with some of the residents of the home, however, after some time, they (residents of the home), left the two of them and went to their houses situated within the same compound.
Bhembe asserted that she and Ndzinisa remained behind under a tree, where they had been enjoying the drinks and continued to imbibe the ‘waters of immorality’.
She alleged that after some time, Ndzinisa also left the scene and went into his house.
“He then invited me to come over into his house on grounds that he wanted to show me something,” she alleged.
Bhembe alleged that she heeded Ndzinisa’s directive and went into his house, however soon after entering the house,
Ndzinisa allegedly locked the house with a chain and a padlock and after that, demanded to have sex with her.
Still, she refused and informed him that she was not in the mood to have sex with him on the day in question.
She claimed that Ndzinisa then asked her why she was being reluctant to be intimate with him and she came up with an excuse that she was on her period.
Bhembe alleged that despite such an excuse, Ndzinisa insisted on having sex with her, but she maintained her stance that she was not willing to be intimate with him on the day.
“I then took a knife which I used to try and unlock the padlock so that I could escape. However, he charged towards me and a fight ensued between the two of us, as Ndzinisa was hindering me from getting out of his house,” she claimed.
Bhembe claimed that during the fight, Ndzinisa took a bush knife from under his bed, which he used to hack her on the head and she began to bleed profusely.

She alleged that she then tried to negotiate with Ndzinisa to stop assaulting her and he calmed down.
Bhembe asserted that that was when she got the opportunity to bolt out of the house and she ran towards a neighbour’s house.
She claimed that Ndzinisa, who was swearing at her, pursued her and kicked the door of the house, where she was now hiding as he wanted to force entry.
Bhembe alleged that she grabbed a knife inside the house where she was seeking refuge.
“I then came out of the house and charged towards Ndzinisa and upon reaching him, I stabbed him once on the neck and he collapsed and later died,” she alleged.
Meanwhile, for her first remand hearing, Bhembe appeared before Principal Magistrate Florence Msibi at the Manzini Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with murder, an offence she committed on September 28, 2024, in the Moneni area in the Manzini District.
The charge sheet states that the said accused person did wrongfully, unlawfully and intentionally kill
Mphumelelo Ndzinisa by stabbing him with a sharp object once on the neck resulting in him dying and thus did commit the above offence.
Bhembe was remanded in custody until October 9, 2024, pending her commitment to the High Court.
