The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo has announced that 2400 people will be employed by 2026.
This he revealed during his tour of the Lush Hair Care factory located in Ngwenya on Monday.
Khumalo said they pleased by the plenty job opportunities being offered by the factory especially to emaSwati.
“We are told that there are currently 850 people employed, next year there will be 1 500 and the factory owners assured us that by 2026 they will be 2 400 people hired,” said Khumalo during an interview with media houses.

Khumalo led members of the Portfolio Committee from the House of Assembly on a tour of the Lush Hair Care Factory located in Ngwenya.
This visit is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote local industries and enhance economic development within the country.
Khumalo said this initiative aligns with broader economic strategies in Eswatini, particularly in the wake of the post-Covid-19 Economic Recovery Plan, which aims to inject substantial investments into various projects to create employment opportunities.
“Lush Hair Care is part of the Tolaram Group, and the establishment of the Kellogg’s plant here gave rise to this investment,” he said.

The visit by the MPs served as both a familiarization tour and an opportunity for them to understand what support the business needs to grow.
Currently, Lush Hair Care exports to most SADC countries and is looking to expand further. The MPs expressed overwhelming support for this investment and its expansion plans.
