Fresh from delivering rib-cracking giggles to the people of Siteki, enterprising Swati stand-up comedy and comic content creation duo Gogo Eswatini and S’lwane will this Friday deliver even more laughs in Mbombela at the inaugural “Mpumalanga Comedy and Culture Fest”, happening at the province’s premier event venue, Emnotweni Arena.

Hosted by Ligwalagwala FM’s Ngcozi Yebo, the event also co-curated by the duo alongside Masiko Cultural Group seeks to celebrate Swati culture through performances by Eswatini and Mpumalanga’s foremost stand-up comedians and cultural performers.

Headlined by Gogo and Slwane, it will also feature highly after stand-up comedian Mdu Ntuli, as mostly seen alongside top Mzansi comics from Skhumba to SifisoNene.

Also performing alongside, him will be Eswatini’s very own, Bongiswa and Darren as loved for their act “Angisati Ng’tsin”, poet Festival B and the equally enterprising Pigg’s Peak born Swati Gqom superstar, M Nation – who will bring a careful blend of Swati culture to his urban sound.

Completing the line-up will be fast-rising Xitsonga comedian Promad and another of Mpumalanga’s cream of the crop Innomash plus highly rated poet Poetess Landa.

Cultural performances will feature a cream of the finest ensembles from Mpumalanga and speeches from the province’s respected cultural activists Dr. Mafika Lubisi and Bhuti Themba.

“Through this event, we are not just taking the brand of craziness to the people of Mpumalanga, but we are going there to celebrate our pride in being Swati; our language, our culture and our way of life as the people of Eswatini – for which,

we want to extend the warmest invite to anyone who can to come along and support not just us, but the idea of being “Swati”. The line-up we have put together speaks volumes without even adding anything – it is value for money and a guaranteed fun night out with family and loved ones guaranteed,” commented S’lwane.

“To add, our friends at Ndalo Group of Hotels – Mbombela have been kind enough to support us with a 20% discount for everyone who will be coming to the show, which we believe eliminates all stresses about accommodation for those who will be travelling.

So, yes, asipheleleni ngetinkhani boSwane, kutawube kuphekwe ngagalaza; emahlaya nemigidvwo yetfulemihle leminandzi singemaSwati.

Let us add that this event is very family-friendly, so, come one, come all boSwane,” added Gogo Eswatini.
