Dr Bishop Nash Shongwe, a long-serving and respected figure in the Eswatini clergy and leader of Divine Healing Ministries International,
commended His Majesty King Mswati III’s recent powerful declarations during the End-of-Year Prayer Service held at the Mandvulo Hall.
In an exclusive interview with Eswatini Daily News, Bishop Shongwe expressed profound appreciation for the King’s public display of faith, a rarity in contemporary leadership.
“It is rare for a King to put all His trust in the Lord. What His Majesty is doing is touching and will be written in the history books of the Nation of Eswatini,” remarked the Bishop.
The End of Year Prayer Service, attended by hundreds, featured heartfelt sermons from both the King and Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, reinforcing the deeply intertwined relationship between faith and governance in Eswatini.

Bishop Shongwe emphasized the significance of the royal couple’s declarations, predicting that their choice to embrace God as their guiding authority would lead to a lasting positive impact on future generations.
“What our leaders have done, choosing God as their Master will positively impact many generations to come,” the Bishop stated, noting that the King’s powerful declarations are essential for preserving the Christian faith and instilling hope within the nation.
He added, “The King’s declarations will preserve the Christian faith, hope, and the longevity of the Nation of Eswatini.”
However, the Bishop raised a concern regarding the duration of the service, suggesting that the revival held at Mandvulo Hall should have been extended.
“Why did the service last for only one day? Being at Mandvulo for such a revival should have lasted for weeks,” he questioned, hinting at a desire for more sustained spiritual engagement.
As he looks to the future, Bishop Shongwe conveys a sense of optimism. “Something good, something beautiful is on the way to Eswatini from the Throne of Grace, the Throne of God.
The King has declared, and the King has proclaimed,” he concluded, highlighting the potential for divine blessings upon the nation.
