“Your gift will make room for you; it will put you in the presence of kings and great men!” These words resonated powerfully as Uncle Waffles,
the dynamic Eswatini-born DJ and Amapiano sensation, took to the stage to present an award alongside Prince William at the prestigious 2024 Earthshot Prize Awards in Cape Town, South Africa, last week.
Dressed to impress in one of her signature designs, Uncle Waffles dazzled attendees with a knee-high slit jean skirt paired with a halter neck bronze crop top, complemented by chic gold open-toe sandals.
The Prince of Wales, maintaining a casual yet stylish demeanor, opted for a grey blazer, navy pants, and white sneakers, showcasing a modern royal flair.

The Earthshot Prize Awards, held on November 6, brought together a cadre of high-profile guests, including the British royal family, celebrities, and environmental advocates.
As a part of the ceremony, Uncle Waffles not only presented an award but also electrified the audience with a performance that captivated the British royal family and other notable figures, including supermodel Heidi Klum and wildlife expert Robert Irwin.
The energy of her set was palpable, leaving a lasting impression on all in attendance.
The event was a significant moment not only for Uncle Waffles but for the Earthshot Prize initiative itself, which Prince William established in 2020 to address the urgent challenges posed by climate change.
This year marks the continuation of a visionary project aimed at fostering innovation and inspiring action to combat global warming.

Among the illustrious attendees was Heidi Klum, who turned heads in a vibrant orange flowing dress with an asymmetric neckline, while Billy Porter made a statement in a striking black and white suit adorned with an abstract pattern.
Uncle Waffles’ appearance at the Earthshot Prize is just one highlight in a series of remarkable achievements.
In August, she made history as the first Amapiano act to perform at the Brooklyn Mirage in New York.
The sold-out show, titled “We Love Waffles,” featured a surprise performance by American rapper Joey Bada$$ and included a lineup of South African artists such as Andre Power, Bambii, Kelvin Momo, 2W0 Bunnies, and Oscar Mbo.
