South African music sensation Uncle Waffles expressed her profound disappointment regarding her recent performance at the “For the Love of Amapiano” event in Kenya.
The star, renowned for her captivating stage presence, had eagerly anticipated this event, but her experience fell short of expectations, leaving her feeling shattered.
“I’m extremely disappointed and shattered the ‘For the Love of Amapiano’ event was handled,” Waffles stated.

“This was something I have been looking forward to for a while, but from sound issues even before my performance to my team being mishandled, this wasn’t something I expected at all.”
The artist’s frustrations highlight a growing concern over the organizational standards of live events, particularly in the rapidly evolving Amapiano genre that has garnered a dedicated fanbase across the continent.
Uncle Waffles’ experience has sparked discussions about the importance of professional event management, especially when it comes to ensuring the safety and comfort of both performers and attendees.
“What has disappointed me most though is how my Kenyan supporters were treated by the organisers and security at the event,” she continued.
“People were pushed around, mishandled, and treated with the least amount of care, and that is something I will not stand for.”
Uncle Waffles, who has built a loyal following through her relatable style and dedication to her craft, emphasized the priority she places on her fans’ safety.
“The safety and wellbeing of people who come out to support me and this genre is my top priority,” she asserted.

“I could not play my set any longer while people were visibly uncomfortable and at risk of getting hurt.”
She further cried for concert organizers to take accountability.
“To the event organisers, you have not only disappointed me, but you have also let down the 10,000+ people who came out in support of this event,” the Wadibusa hitmaker added.
“I urge you to do better if you have any desire to continue putting events together in the future.”
