A young man lost his life after falling from a moving FAW truck along the Madlangempisi/Nkambeni MR5 public road.
The victim, identified as a 26-year-old passenger from Nkonyeni, suffered severe injuries that ultimately led to his death shortly after arriving at Dvokolwako Health Centre.
According to Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Chief Police Information and Communication Officer, the tragic accident occurred at around 6:40 PM near Bhalekane.

The truck was being driven by a 32-year-old man from Mahlabatsini at the time of the incident.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim pending notification of his family. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud thud as the passenger fell from the vehicle, prompting immediate calls for help.
Despite the quick response from emergency services, doctors at the health centre pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, focusing on how the passenger fell from the moving truck.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has additional information to come forward to assist in their inquiries.
This tragedy serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers associated with road travel and the importance of passenger safety.
