Comedy fanatics are in for a treat with the much-anticipated event, ‘Comedy In The Wild For The Wild’, set to take place on December 21, 2024, at Mantenga Cultural Village.

Beginning at 3pm, attendees can expect an afternoon filled with laughter, traditional entertainment, and a unique cultural experience that celebrates the rich heritage of emaSwati.

This exciting event not only promises top-notch comedy but also offers a glimpse into the culture of Eswatini.

Participants will enjoy a guided tour of the village, allowing them to immerse themselves in the traditions and customs of the local community.

Additionally, a special culture talk will be conducted by beloved Gogo, who will enlighten attendees about the significance of SiSwati culture and its practices.

The lineup for the event features renowned entertainers Gogo & S’lwane and Gedlembane, who have made significant contributions to the comedy scene in Eswatini.

In an exclusive interview with Gogo, he expressed the essence behind the event, stating that the Gogo & S’lwane brand is deeply rooted in cultural representation.

“December is family time, so we wanted to take emaSwati down memory lane,” he remarked.

Gogo elaborated on the significance of the Mantenga Cultural Village, describing it as a true reflection of the SiSwati way of life.

He noted, “This show aims to give a platform for the people who grew up in towns to learn more about how we, as emaSwati, used to live.”

The intention behind the event is to create a space for education and entertainment, aptly termed “Edutainment.”

Highlighting the educational aspect of the event, Gogo shared that he would be lecturing attendees about various cultural practices, including polygamy, which is a traditional aspect of SiSwati culture.

“I will be discussing a SiSwati home, which often involves one husband and two wives,” he explained.

With excitement building as the event date approaches, Gogo encouraged community members and comedy lovers alike to secure their tickets.
