While Civil servants’ early pay will come on Monday (December 1, 2024), Public Service Pensioners will be paid on Friday, December 13, Minister of Public Service Mabulala Maseko has confirmed.
Maseko told Eswatini Daily News on Thursday that if all goes according to plan, some of the pensioner’s accounts would be paid early on Friday as the process began on Thursday.
“Pensioners will be paid first then civil servants will follow. Otherwise, the process began today (Thursday),” the Minister said.

Usually, civil servants are paid on the 20th, 21st and 22nd but with the festive period they will get their salaries three days earlier – December 17.
A source at the Ministry of Public Services told Eswatini Daily News that those normally paid on the 31st will be receiving their salaries on the 20th of this month.
With the E86 million ‘sweetener’ deal of the 1% once-off bonus, agreed between the government and the four major Public Service Unions (PSUs), the Government is expected to send around E900 million on salaries on her 45,000 workforce.

The agreement was signed on November 27, 2024, after earlier commitments to a 0.5% once-off payment in July alongside a 4% Cost-of-Living-Adjustment (CoLA)
The Government’s annual wage bill stands at approximately E9.8 billion which comes to E816 million per month.
