The dawn of 2025 brought with it a moment of joy and hope at Manzini Clinic, where the first newborn of the year was warmly received.

The Clinic Group is renowned in the Kingdom for its commitment to quality healthcare.

Acting Managing Director of the Clinic Group, Gcinekile Nxumalo, toured the facilities on New Year’s Day, which was hailed as it embodied the organization’s dedication to patient care.

During her visit, Nxumalo personally welcomed the newborn, which she said was a significant moment that shows the Clinic Group’s role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to families in Eswatini.

“This precious life marks a new chapter, not just for the family, but for all of us. As a healthcare provider, we take pride in being part of such meaningful milestones,” Nxumalo said.

The Clinic Group joined other healthcare centres in the country that received newborns during the new year.

In total, 38 New Year babies were born between midnight and 2 PM across various hospitals in Eswatini and were celebrated with gifts from Her Majesty the Queen Mother.

The gifts were handed over to their mothers by Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula, who made personal visits to several hospitals to mark the occasion.

During his visits, Matsebula extended gratitude to Her Majesty for her generosity and care, acknowledging her continued efforts to bring joy and comfort to families during significant occasions.

At Hlathikulu Government Hospital, where three New Year babies (two boys and one girl) were born, Matsebula expressed the government’s dedication to improving maternal and child healthcare.

He also visited other facilities, including Mbabane Government Hospital, which recorded the highest number of births (eight), and Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital, where seven babies were born.

The Minister emphasized the importance of community support in ensuring the well-being of newborns and their families.
