Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has conveyed His Majesty King Mswati III’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that no child, especially Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVCs), lives a life of neglect.
The DPM shared this message on Monday during a celebratory event at the Tums George Hotel, marking the graduation of five young individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who completed skills training programs.
This milestone event aligns with His Majesty’s vision to uplift OVCs and ensure they have the opportunity to thrive despite their challenges.

The graduates, Noxolo Mabuza, Nontsikelelo Zikalala, Gcinile Masuku, Cebile Nxumalo, and Tenele Mkhabela, successfully completed training in Catering, Hairdressing, and Nail Technology through a government-led initiative.
During her address, DPM Dladla reaffirmed the government’s dedication to this cause. “His Majesty King Mswati III has made it clear that no child should endure a life of misery or lack parental guidance.
This graduation is a testament to our commitment to fulfilling that mandate,” she said.
The DPM also encouraged the graduates to embrace their newfound skills with determination and hard work. “Laziness leads nowhere.
You now have the tools to build a brighter future, perhaps even more practical skills than those with academic qualifications. Your success depends on your commitment to growth,” she added.
The training programs form part of a broader strategy to equip OVCs with life skills that foster self-reliance and economic independence.
This initiative is a critical step in breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering vulnerable youth to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Local dignitaries and community members attended the ceremony to support the graduates as they received their certificates.
The event highlighted the positive impact of the government’s efforts to create opportunities for marginalized youth.
As the graduates embark on their journeys, the government remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting vulnerable children and ensuring every child has access to a prosperous future, regardless of their circumstances.
