‘As a company rooted in this nation, it is our duty to care for the people of Eswatini’ – Inyatsi

Inyatsi Group Holdings has asserted that as a company rooted in this nation, they believe it is their duty to care for the people of Eswatini.

The company said that it stands in solidarity with every family impacted by the heavy rains, and they want them to know that they are not alone. Inyatsi further said that they are here to lend a helping hand in your time of need.

Such kind words were shared by Inyatsi Group Holdings Marketing and Public Relations Manager Ncobile Dlamini during the donation of food parcels, mattresses and blankets worth E100 000.00 by Inyatsi Foundation to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Dlamini expressed gratitude to His Majesty’s Government for their swift response to the crisis.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks for the leadership and resources mobilized to support those in distress. Your efforts have instilled hope and provided immediate relief to many families,” she added.

She said that the donation aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 1: No Poverty and Goal 2: Zero Hunger.

“These efforts reflect our commitment to making a positive impact on the communities we serve,” Dlamini noted.

“The torrential rains happening throughout the country are continuously affecting emaSwati. Houses are collapsing, families are being displaced, and hunger is surging. Despite the government’s efforts, the magnitude of the need requires all emaSwati to come together and assist,” said Dladla.

The DPM commended Inyatsi Group Holdings for their timely intervention, stating, “We are forever grateful for the helping hand extended by Inyatsi Holding Group.

Their contribution demonstrates the power of multi-sectoral collaboration in disaster resilience and recovery efforts.”

Eswatini continues to reel from severe weather, with the latest storms on January 15, 2025, affecting over 343 households and leaving 1,229 individuals in desperate need of assistance.

The heavy rains, windstorms, and hail have destroyed homes, crops, and critical infrastructure, deepening the plight of already vulnerable communities.

The government has called on more stakeholders, including individuals, churches, and organizations, to step forward in addressing the urgent needs of disaster-impacted families.
