Eswatini’s top film, ‘Dream: Liphupho’, which has captured the hearts of audiences across the country, is soon to be available on YouTube.
The highly anticipated release, set for February 24, 2025, promises to bring the moving story of perseverance and hope to an even wider audience, showcasing the resilience of young dreamers in Eswatini.
The announcement of Dream: Liphupho’s upcoming YouTube release was made by its producer, Siphosethu Sibandze, who has been instrumental in bringing the film to life.

This poignant film follows the journey of a young boy who dreams of becoming a professional actor despite facing overwhelming odds.
Plagued by doubt but driven by an unwavering sense of hope, the protagonist’s determination to overcome life’s challenges and pursue his aspirations is at the heart of the story.
The film explores the deeply relatable themes of dreams, career choices, and the strength of youth to face adversity with resilience.
In an exclusive interview, Sibandze opened about the creative journey behind Dream: Liphupho, shedding light on the struggles and triumphs that shaped the film.
“Making this film wasn’t easy,” Sibandze shared. “We faced many hurdles, including limited transportation and various logistical challenges.

But despite everything, we were determined to bring this story to life”.
The film’s talented crew included Sibusile Dlamini as assistant director, while Luyanda Motsa handled the cinematography with skill and precision.
Sanele Mazibuko operated the second camera, capturing the film’s essence from multiple angles, while Bahle Shongwe’s impeccable sound work ensured the auditory experience was as powerful as the visuals. Clifford Dludlu, the gaffer, managed the lighting.

“This film is the result of remarkable teamwork,” Sibandze said. “I’m so grateful to everyone who gave their time, talent, and energy to this project.
From the actors to the crew, each person played an integral role in making this dream a reality.”
The film, which originally screened in various venues around Eswatini, has now reached a significant milestone with its upcoming digital release.
“We’re incredibly excited to make the film accessible to all emaSwati and the global community,” he explained.
