It’s a wonderful ruling.
Manzini Wanderers have finally won their dragging legal battle against the Premier League of Eswatini.
The hub giants have been declared a elite league team by the Supreme Court after the dismissal of the appeal by Moneni Pirates and Jimoh Moses on Thursday.
Wanderers have been in a legal battle since May 2024 where they challenged the eligibility of Denver Sundowns Nigerian defender Jimoh Moses, during the last match of the 2023/24 MTN Premier League played on May 19, 2024, at Somhlolo National Stadium.

The applicants challenged the September 27, 2024, ruling by Judge Mumcy Dlamini who also declared the hub giants a Premier team.
The Judge also ruled that the PLE should ensure that Pirates are not affected by her verdict.

The Judge further averred that Moses was an ineligible player during the last match of the 2023/24 MTN Premier League match played on 19 May 2024.
Pirates and Moses failed to file records of the previous High Court proceedings which led to the delay of the appeal.
The Supreme Court dismissed the PLE appeal against Judge Mumcy’s ruling during the previous sitting.

The session was attended by Wanderer’s top brass led by Managing Director Wellington Motsa and board member Sibane Mngometulu, among others.
An ecstatic Motsa welcomed the ruling.
“We are happy with the ruling and Justice has been served. We will address our supporters about a way forward,” he said.
The Wanderer’s legal team comprised Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli, Sifiso Jele and Advocate Mduduzi ‘Tsotsi’ Mabila, among others.
