Eswatini’s rising star Young Zesh has achieved a significant milestone with his latest single, Bastard,’ which garnered an impressive 6,000 views within just 24 hours of its release.

This achievement not only highlights the artist’s growing popularity but also marks a pivotal moment in his career as he embarks on a new journey with his record label, Mabonwa Abulawe Records.

The launch of Mabonwa Abulawe Records coincides with the debut of ‘Bastard,’ a song that Young Zesh describes as a heartfelt message to his fans following his departure from his former label, Upscale Live.

In an exclusive interview, he shared the inspiration behind the track, emphasizing the importance of creative independence in his artistic journey.

“The message is straightforward, and I put it respectfully. The song is very good, and the hook is on another level,” he expressed.

The creation of ‘Bastard’ was a swift yet deeply personal process for Young Zesh. “I only took 10 minutes to do the song.

I worked on a trap beat and incorporated SiSwati and English lyrics to give it a unique flavour,” he explained.

The song’s production was handled by Sean Cast, while the music video was directed by Tinashe Naishe, both of whom contributed to the song’s polished and engaging presentation.
