ngwenyama Cup semi-finalists have shared E88 000 from the first batch of the revenue generated from the last four matches played on Monday at Mavuso Sports Centre.

Each team took home over E22 000 after deductions after featuring in the doubleheader witnessed by over 6 000 fans.

The deductions include Stadium booking, referee’s allowances and security, among others.

The beneficiaries are Royal Leopards, Young Buffaloes, Moneni Pirates and Mbabane Swallows from the money generated from cash ticket sales.

The Management Committee was forced to make cash sales at the stadium before the kick off of the first match due to long queues.

The revenue is set to increase after the collection of the pre-sale tickets.

4,000 tickets were sold at various outlets across the country at E50.A project gross of E200 000 is expected from the pre-sale tickets.

Ingwenyama Cup Management Committee (MC) Secretary Pat Vilakati affirmed the latest news.

“Teams have got their share of the money generated, and they will get more money collected from the semifinals,” he said.

He also thanked the over 6,000 fans attending the games in numbers.

“We are grateful for the support of the numbers and their good behaviour by accepting results.

The matches saw Royal Leopard and Moneni Pirates book their places in the finals with their victories against Young Buffaloes and Swallows, respectively.
