His Majesty King Mswati III has received rave reviews for being a beacon of hope for Emaswati, with the interests of the people at heart as witnessed by recent gracing and official launch of multimillion projects within various communities, which greatly reduced unemployment and assured economic revitalisation.

During a debate of the Private and Cabinet Office 2025/2026 financial year’s budget by the Senate Portfolio Committee, Senator Siphelelele Mkhonta, urged Prime Minister Russell Dlamini to express gratitude to the King for projects delivered within various communities which aid in countering poverty.

“Can the PM extend gratitude to the King for projects delivered to communities which counter poverty? These projects were delivered in the Lubombo and Hhohho regions. The King is seen to be very close to the nation and this is what the people long for,” Mkhonta said.

The PM mentioned that the message would be transmitted to His Majesty King Mswati III. Indeed, His Majesty and the institution of the Monarch have stood as a beacon of hope for the nation.

His Majesty is a King who truly loves his nationand has the people’s best interests at heart,” Dlamini affirmed.

The PM was also applauded for visibility as he visited communities. It was noted that leadership was mostly appreciated when they visited the people whom they served.

“We will endeavour to continue visiting communities as this is one of the critical mandates received during Sibaya and endorsed by His Majesty,” Dlamini assured.

The King recently unveiled a series of significant development projects valued at approximately E100 million, aimed at uplifting various cooperatives and communities in the Lubombo Region.

The handover ceremony took place at Mpolonjeni Inkhundla, marking a pivotal moment in the region’s commitment to decentralised governance and community empowerment.

The initiatives, funded through the Regional Development Fund (RDF), encompassed a wide range of essential resources designed to enhance local agricultural and business capabilities.

This included the provision of tipper and drop side trucks, tractors, feedlots, and equipment for hire such as tents, chairs, and cooking pots.

These resources were expected to facilitate local production and strengthen community enterprises.

In addition to agricultural support, the King also handed over infrastructure projects executed by the Micro Projects Unit.

Key developments included dip tanks for livestock, low-level crossings, improved roads, grazing land, and community halls that will serve as vital social gathering spaces for the communities of Lubombo.

The King also embarked on a journey of transformation in the Hhohho region as well in recent days.

He toured and further blessed development projects worth E850 million at the Buhleni fast-developing town in the northern Hhohho region.
