Skating on thin ice!
Premier League of Eswatini Chairman Polycarp Dlamini is still not safe from the contempt of court case against Manzini Wanderers. The matter will be argued before Judge Mumcy Dlamini before the end of next month.
PLE Chairman Polycarp Dlamini is accused of breaching the September 27, 2024, ruling by Mumcy Dlamini with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pat Vilakati and Football Manager Banele Masondo.
Wanderers are fighting for reinstatement in the Premier League after a court ruling by Judge Mumcy Dlamini on September 27, 2024.
Judge Dlamini declared Wanderers a Premier team and ruled that Denver Sundowns Nigerian defender Jimoh Moses was an ineligible player, during the last match of the 2023/24 season between ‘Weslians’ and the ‘Kappa boys’ on May 19, 2024, at Somhlolo National Stadium which ended in a 4-2 win for Sundowns.
Wanderers’ Managing Director Wellington Motsa affirmed the news when reached for comment.
“We are still pending court matters with the Premier League of Eswatini,” he said.

Wanderers are in negotiations with the Eswatini Football Association over the same matter against President Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane and CEO Frederick Mngomezulu. The ‘Weslians’ called for the removal of Polycarp Dlamini during the sitting of the out-of-court settlement with the mother body.
Dlamini is also the Eswatini Football Association Vice President by being the PLE Chairman.
This transpired on April 24, 2025, during the meeting between the mother body and ‘Weslians’ held at Sigwaca House.
Dlamini was part of the three-member delegation from EFA comprising Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Frederick Mngomezulu and Lawyer Hlomla Mdladla. Wanderers were represented by Managing Director Wellington Motsa, board member Peter Mathaba, advocate Mduduzi ‘Tsotsi’ Mabila and Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli, among others.
