Two men killed in mob attacks

Two people died in different mob attack incidents in the country this week.

According to police reports, a 15-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of people at Bhodlwane and the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) at Mliba is currently investigating the matter which has been ruled as a murder following his death upon arrival at the hospital.

The teenager was reportedly assaulted with kicks and fists all over the body and was rushed to the Dvokolwako Health Centre, where he was certified dead on arrival.

The assault reportedly took place on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, Nhlangano police are investigating a similar case after a 78-year-old man from the Jericho area died after being assaulted with sticks and sjamboks all over the body by a group of people.

He was assaulted on Wednesday night. The reasons behind the attacks are yet to be established on both matters.
