ESWATINI AIR ON WORLD SEARCH TOOL

Local scheduled airline, Eswatini Air is now live on Google Flights, a free online flight
search tool by Google Travel that that helps you compare and find cheap airline tickets
from over 300 partner airlines and travel agencies.

It does not sell tickets directly; instead, it redirects you to the airline or booking site to
finish your purchase.

Ndumiso Shongwe, Eswatini Air General Manager, said this historic and significant move was aimed at enhancing the airline’s digital visibility and making it easier for passengers to discover its services.

“Our presence on Google Flights enables travellers to easily discover Eswatini Air flights, view schedules and compare available travel options when searching for flights online. Passengers can also use travel agents where we are accessible through Amadeus,” he said.

He said there were several other platforms that can be used for seamless booking such as the website www.eswatiniair.co.sz, email booking requests can be sent to
reservations@eswatiniair.co.sz.

Additionally, Eswatini Air offers online check-in, providing passengers with an additional level of convenience by allowing them to complete the check-in process online before arriving at the airport. This helps passengers prepare for their journeys in advance and can reduce the time spent on check-in formalities at the airport.

Shongwe reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to strengthening Eswatini Air’s long-term
sustainability.

“This agenda extends beyond environmental commitments to the responsible
stewardship of the social value created through reliable and affordable air travel for
Emaswati,” he said.

“We also value the airline’s role in promoting the country’s cultural heritage through
tourism and facilitating business across the SADC region.”

Shongwe further mentioned that Eswatini Air was determined to increase its contribution to the national economy by addressing limitations of a relatively small air travel market through the expansion of value-added services, including cargo, charters, innovative travel packages, maintenance and aviation training.

“Combined with prudent network expansion, disciplined cost management, and the strong support of the travelling public and government, these services will help us navigate industry challenges,” he said.

Meanwhile, the General Manager said passengers can also submit feedback through the reengineered Customer Care portal available on Eswatini Air digital platforms.

“We encourage passengers to communicate their experiences, concerns, and suggestions through the airline’s established customer service channels such as “Customer Care” under our website,” said Shongwe.

“Feedback helps us identify recurring service challenges and areas where processes may need to be strengthened. This enables us to focus on corrective action and continuous improvement rather than simply responding to problems after they occur.”

He said the launch of a mobile app was an upcoming milestone in the airline’s digital
transformation journey “while our loyalty programme is also launching soon, further
strengthening our digital customer experience”.

Shongwe expressed belief in high standard of customer service as fundamental to building lasting relationships with passengers.

“Our commitment is to ensure that every passenger enjoys a safe, reliable and seamless travel experience from the moment they make a booking until their destination,” he said.

“We focus on several key factors such as improving our service standards across the entire passenger journey, including reservations, check-in and boarding, onboard experience, baggage handling, management of customer feedback and complimentary shuttle service.”

He said they also focused on ensuring that customers were assisted courteously and efficiently, with particular attention to travel documentation, baggage acceptance, boarding requirements, and the timely communication of relevant travel information.

Shongwe said their on-board service included amenities, meals and beverage service, and baggage was processed in accordance with the applicable procedures, that passengers receive clear information about baggage allowances and restrictions, and that any baggage-related concerns are directed to the appropriate teams for assistance.
