Select Limited has pledged a substantial contribution of approximately half a million Emalangeni, totaling E400,000, towards the renovation of four schools spanning each region of Eswatini.

The generous donation, facilitated through the Baphalali Red Cross Society, will fund critical repairs including replacing damaged roofing, window glasses, and repainting purposes.

The schools earmarked to benefit from this philanthropic gesture include Nkonyeni High School, KaBhudla Primary, Nyambo Primary, and Hlatikhulu Central Primary.

These institutions, among the 52 affected schools during recent storms in Eswatini, are in dire need of rehabilitation to ensure a conducive learning environment for students and teachers alike.

Bheki Dlamini, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Select Limited, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts in the country, particularly through its enduring partnership with the Baphalali Red Cross Society.

Speaking at the presentation of the E400,000 donation, Dlamini commended the Red Cross for their continued dedication to assisting the people of Eswatini.

“We continue to partner with Baphalali Eswatini Red Cross Society because they have done a great job in the projects that they have worked with Select Eswatini on,” remarked Dlamini.

“They have displayed commitment to the humanitarian work they do, and it is an honor for Select Limited to collaborate with such an esteemed organization.”

The funds provided by Select Limited will directly support the renovation efforts at the four identified schools, addressing the aftermath of the recent storms that wreaked havoc across the country.

This includes repairing damaged classrooms, replacing blown-away roofs, repainting, and reinstalling windows.

Secretary General of Baphalali Red Cross, Danger Nhlabatsi, expressed profound gratitude to Select Limited for their generosity and commitment to corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives.

“Select Limited is kind, and their hearts are willing to give,” stated Nhlabatsi. “Baphalali has sent me to applaud the initiative of Select.”

Furthermore, Nhlabatsi highlighted the seven core principles guiding the Red Cross’s humanitarian endeavors, where he emphasized their supports to serving communities in need.
