Urging MPs to uphold integrity and transparency, Prime Minister Russell Dlamini has issued a stern caution to the portfolio committee members regarding corruption and the acceptance of bribes.

The Prime Minister emphasized the paramount importance of making decisions that prioritize the overall benefit to the nation and maintaining a steadfast commitment to ethical values rather than financial gains.

Regardless of any external pressures or influences, he urged MPs to resist succumbing to temptations and to collectively combat corrupt practices.

“Let us not be swayed by external forces seeking to compromise our integrity,” the Prime Minister declared, highlighting the significance of upholding moral principles even in the face of temptation.

He underscored the necessity of transparency in all actions, emphasizing that decisions should be made with the public interest in mind.

Urging members of parliament to uphold truth and integrity in their duties, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of making decisions grounded in honesty and accountability.

“The path towards progress lies in unwavering dedication to truth and ethical conduct,” he concluded.

Encouraging a culture of accountability and whistleblowing, the Prime Minister urged individuals to come forward and report any instances of bribery.

“Our commitment to combating corruption must be unwavering. We must work towards a future where financial gains do not influence decision-making,” he stated.

In a call to action directed at all citizens, the Prime Minister called for collective efforts to expose and eradicate corruption within the nation.

He assured the public that channels such as the anti-corruption commission and the Royal Eswatini Police are actively engaged in combating corrupt practices.

“Corruption is a growing threat to our nation, and we must not turn a blind eye to its presence.

We all must become ambassadors for anti-corruption initiatives,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
