Eswatini’s vibrant cultural tapestry takes centre stage once again as registrations for Miss Cultural Heritage Eswatini 2024 are now officially open.

The call to celebrate and embody the nation’s rich cultural heritage has been sounded, inviting young liSwati women aged 18 to 26 to step forward and showcase their pride in their traditions.

Spearheading this year’s event is the Chairman of Beauty Pageants, Sandra Ismail, who has laid out the criteria for potential participants.

Prospective contestants must be LiSwati, aged between 18 and 26, have completed high school, provided a copy of their birth certificate, and represented their home region.

A registration fee of E100 is required, with proof of payment to be sent via eWallet to 7802 5386.

The reigning queen, Melinda Mavuso, along with four Eswatini Miss Cultural Heritage Regional Ambassadors for 2023–2024, was crowned at a glittering ceremony held at the George Hotel Lawn in Manzini on December 17 last year.

The event not only showcased the beauty and grace of its participants but also highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting Eswatini’s national dress and design.

Miss Cultural Heritage serves as a platform to popularize and celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of Eswatini among its youth.

The initiative aims to elevate traditional attire, ensuring that it is both recognized and embraced in contemporary society.

In an interview with Sandra Ismail, he expressed optimism for the upcoming event, stating, “After a well-organized regional activation last year, we are hopeful for at least 20 entries per region.
