The dragging protest battle between Manzini Wanderers and Denver Sundowns will be heard on Thursday at Sigwaca House.

This comes after an unnamed Ministry of Home Affairs official agreed to testify on the authenticity of the work permit for Denver Sundowns Nigerian defender Jimoh Moses.

The matter will be heard before an Eswatini Football Association Disciplinary Committee Chaired by Thulani Nsibandze.

The involvement of the Government officials was suggested by the respondent’s lawyer (Zakhele Dlamini) after Wanderers raised eyebrows on the work permit that was produced by Sundown’s Chief Executive Officer Elvis Dube on Saturday at Sigwaca House.

Premier League of Eswatini Prosecutor Desmond Manda could not be reached for comments on the matter after his cell phone rang unanswered when contacted on Monday afternoon.

Wanderers board of Governor Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli confirmed the latest developments.

“The matter will be heard on Thursday after we managed to get witnesses from the Ministry of Home Affairs whose names cannot be revealed in the media,” he said.

In the protest, the hub giants are claiming that Moses doesn’t have a valid work permit.

This was during the last MTN Premier League match played on May 19, 2024, at Somhlolo National Stadium, whose result condemned the crowd-pullers to the National First Division.
