Sibonelo Dlamini 30 of Velezizweni’s repugnant smell alerted police officers to his intoxicated state.
The accused was charged with the offence of contravening section 91 (2) as read with Section 122 (2) of the Road Traffic Act 6 of 2007.

On or about June 30, 2024 at or near Makholokholo in the region of Hhohho, the said accused was the driver of motor vehicle HSD 774 BH.
Regault sedan did wrongfully, unlawfully drive the said motor vehicle along Makholokholo Road whilst under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drug having a narcotic effect and thus contravened the above Cited Act.
The accused was having a strong smell of alcohol coming out from his mouth. He also refused to give a breath specimen and thus contravened the above Act. He was fined E4 000 or 2 years imprisonment.
