World Vision Eswatini has received a generous donation of E91,530 (over $5,000) from Standard Bank Eswatini, raised during the Luju Festival.
This substantial contribution will support World Vision’s Honey and Beekeeping Project, benefiting eight households in the regions of Lobamba Lomdzala and Mahlangatsha.
The project, which includes four pilot beekeeping farmers in each area, aims to create sustainable livelihoods through innovative agricultural practices.

“We’re thrilled to announce this generous donation,” World Vision Eswatini shared.
“This support will help the beekeeping farmers establish sustainable livelihoods and improve their economic stability.”
The Honey and Beekeeping Project is a key part of World Vision’s ENOUGH Campaign, which combats hunger and poverty by empowering communities through innovative agricultural practices.
By strengthening partnerships with local and international stakeholders, the campaign seeks to transform the lives of children and their families, paving the way for a brighter future.
The donation from Standard Bank Eswatini has been hailed as it represents a significant boost to these efforts.

The funds will provide the necessary resources and training for the pilot farmers, enabling them to start and maintain their beekeeping operations.
“Working through partnerships, we aim to transform children’s lives and make strides toward a brighter future,” World Vision stated.
“A huge thank you to Standard Bank Eswatini for their incredible support!”
The Honey and Beekeeping Project has been said to align with the broader goals of community empowerment and sustainable development.
By equipping households with the skills and tools needed for successful beekeeping, World Vision hopes to strengthen economic resilience and reduce dependency on external aid.
The project which began a few years back has seen some major boost even in this year’s Luju Festival.
In 2022, Standard Bank asserted that the aim of the programme was to support beekeeping and honey production with funding, equipment, services,
market linkages and technical support to market and supply pure organic and clean honey,
as well as beekeeping services such as crop pollination, as a means of making a livelihood for small-scale farmers, and furthering self-sufficiency in the honey industry in Eswatini.
