The launch of the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Awards (NACAs) held at Happy Valley Ezulwini on August 14, 2024, proved to be a spectacular evening filled with creativity, talent, and cultural pride.
Hosted by the charismatic MC KrTC, the event celebrated the rich artistic heritage of Eswatini, setting an exciting tone for the awards that aim to honour the nation’s creative geniuses.
As guests gathered in anticipation, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. The evening kicked off with a dazzling array of performances that showcased the incredible diversity of Eswatini’s artistic talent.
Buhle Matsenjwa opened the night with a heartfelt rendition of Gospel music, captivating the audience with her soulful voice.

As the night progressed, the energy soared with Lutsango’s lively traditional beats, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.
Adding to the entertainment, the comedic duo Gogo & S’lwane delivered a hilarious fire set that had everyone in stitches, proving that laughter is an essential part of any celebration.
The evening also featured a stirring poetry performance by Majaha Nkonyane, who began his set with the powerful declaration, “I am African.” His evocative poem “Ngimbonile losisi” resonated deeply with the audience.
M Nation took the stage next, presenting a vibrant cultural performance that included his hit “Limuva Lami,” accompanied by a talented culture troupe.
The excitement didn’t stop there, as he followed up with “Angiwanaki,” further electrifying the crowd with his dynamic stage presence.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the unveiling of the new NACAs logo, a moment that encapsulated the spirit of the awards.
The Honourable Minister of Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs, Bongani Nzima alongside Stanley Dlamini, CEO of the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Council, revealed the logo designed by the gifted Thabiso Themba.
As the winner of the design contest, Themba was awarded a cash prize of E5,000, a fitting recognition for his creative talent.

Several major sponsors, including Rubicon Media Group, Times of Eswatini, Eswatini Observer, Dot. Media, Mollies Group, SP Media, and Eswatini TV, pledged their backing, contributing over E1.8 million in media and in-kind sponsorship.
This generous support highlights the collective commitment to fostering Eswatini’s vibrant arts and culture scene.
