Loved by many and dubbed by just as many as “the future of comedy in Eswatini”, the comic duo fondly known as “Angisati Ngitsin”,

comprised of Bongiswa Masondo and Darren Gamedze will this summer premiere their own “one act show” dubbed ‘As We Were Saying,’ in what they are curating to be one of Eswatini’s most important comedy events.

With a loyal following of 262,000 on Facebook, they are poised to take their craft to greater heights with the premiere of their highly anticipated “one-act show.”

Scheduled for November 2, 2024, at the Mbabane Theatre Club, this event is being touted as one of the most significant comedy showcases in the Kingdom’s history.

The upcoming show promises to be a unique blend of their online antics and live performance magic.

Audiences can expect a delightful mix of freshly scripted jokes alongside beloved characters from their previous works, including the ever-popular “Umbhoboko.”

One of the standout additions to their repertoire is the character Maziya, who often finds himself at the receiving end of his neighbour Malume’s (played by Darren) comedic wrath.

“Through this show, we want to announce our full bloom in the industry, and through it, we want the public to fully appreciate our status as industry heavy-hitters, solid and talented enough to run alongside and do so toe-for-toe alongside the industry’s best,” said Bongiswa, half of the duo.

“The past couple of years have seen us have our ups and downs with both life and our crafts, which have all made us the great talents we are – and on this night, we just want to celebrate this reality with our people,

which is where we want to warmly invite everyone who has loved our work online and in real life to get their ticket and join us for what we are betting on to be a beautiful night of never before experienced comedic excellence out of Eswatini.”
