The Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) is gearing up for a grand celebration of Teachers’ Day on the 25th of October 2024 at the Mavuso Trade Centre.
President Mbongwa Dlamini announced during a recent press conference, emphasizing the importance of the occasion and the anticipated participation of educators from all corners of the nation.
Expecting a robust turnout, Dlamini encouraged every teacher to attend, calling for head teachers to facilitate the release of their staff for this pivotal event.
“We have engaged and reached an agreement with the Ministry of Education and Training regarding the release of teachers, so we urge all head teachers to support this initiative,” he stated.

Teachers are invited to participate in the festivities, but non-members of SNAT will be required to purchase commemorative T-shirts priced at E200 to gain entry.
“All stakeholders are welcome to purchase T-shirts as well, reflecting solidarity in celebrating our educators,” Dlamini pointed out.
The event promises a vibrant atmosphere, culminating in an after-party at the same venue. SNAT members can attend the after-party for a nominal fee of E20, providing an opportunity for networking and socializing among fellow educators.
Dlamini highlighted that security will be a top priority, with a substantial security detail planned for the event.
“We advise potential chancers to stay away as we will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees,” he warned.
