Inyatsi Foundation, the social arm of Inyatsi Group Holdings, has donated food parcels and other essential items worth E50,000 to the Malindza Refugees Reception.

The donation was presented by Inyatsi Foundation representative Gcinekile Nxumalo during a press briefing held at the reception centre, an event that also provided updates on the ongoing situation concerning Mozambican asylum seekers housed at the facility.

The items were received by the Minister of Home Affairs, Her Royal Highness Princess Lindiwe, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Senator Pholile Shakantu.

The contribution includes food parcels, sanitary pads, soaps, and toothpaste. It was said that the donation aims to alleviate the hardships faced by the refugees, many of whom have fled their home country due to political unrest.

Minister of Home Affairs Princess Lindiwe expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Inyatsi Foundation for their generosity and timely intervention.

“This sponsorship is a true reflection of what corporate social responsibility should embody. On behalf of the Government of Eswatini and the Malindza Refugees Reception, we applaud Inyatsi Foundation for stepping forward to provide much-needed relief during such challenging times.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in addressing pressing humanitarian challenges,
