Corporate social responsibility is one of our core values as a leading Agency in the Kingdom of Eswatini. We understand that we have a responsibility towards the community and sponsoring such events is one of the many ways we will be using to show appreciation towards the support we get from our clients and all our stakeholders.
The Legends Foundation Concept is a charity project aimed at empowering and positively influencing the mind, the body and spirit of the country’s legends and to also improve their lives and insure them should they die. The concept will involve beneficiary events to be organized all over the Kingdom of Eswatini in support of local legends. This will include testimonial shows and awards where the legends will be honoured and celebrated for the contribution they have made in the history of their various fields.
The concept does not only cater for legends in the arts sector alone but also those in sports and other fields. The concept was born out of the realization that some of our legends live miserable lives and are staying in dilapidated structures yet they have made a meaningful contribution in their different sectors. The foundation further realized that when someone dies, they get pauper’s funeral yet they are celebrated.
Amongst other things to be done for the legends, is to take for them funeral covers and to also service the yearly premiums for them with a reputable insurance company in Eswatini. The foundation will further get into building structures and donating groceries for their upkeep. It the foundation’s intention to make sure that they are not forgotten and their music and stories are documented and kept for the next generation to learn from them.
The first beneficiary event will be hosted on the 4th of August 2018. At Summer Place Parking Lot, Marios Pub & Grill in Manzini. The venue can take up to 3 000 people and the foundation is targeting an audience of up to 2 000. This amazing event will feature South Africa’s most celebrated star Sjava Ka Jama alongside local DJs and artists. All Proceeds from this event will go into setting up a funeral cover for over 30 legends to be picked around the country and from across all genres. The funeral cover will be held with the Swaziland Royal Insurance Company. Tickets are already available at all Galitos outlets.
