We much appreciate Eswatini Tourism for continuously sending us the latest Travel News. The hospitality industry in Eswatini (Swaziland) continues to grow, as the 16-room, state-of-the-art Emfuleni Lifestyle Boutique Hotel, has now officially opened.
Situated in the mountains, the boutique hotel is a bed & breakfast facility which is 4.8kms from Ezulwini Valley and 10km from Mbabane. It is one of the only hotels in Eswatini built on Swazi Nation Land, which is land held in trust for the Swazi people by the King. The area’s Chief is the overseer of the properly and reports directly to the King.
Along with a restaurant, which has been running successfully since August 2017, this smoke-free bed & breakfast has an outdoor pool and a bar/lounge. Free buffet breakfast is provided, as well as free WiFi in public areas, free self-parking, and a free manager’s reception. Other amenities include a coffee shop/café, a snack bar/deli, and coffee/tea in a common area.
All 16 rooms boast deep soaking tubs and offer free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Other amenities available to guests include refrigerators, room service, and separate bathtubs and showers.
Roof-Wetting
Speaking at the roof-wetting party held last Friday evening at the venue, Eswatini Tourism Authority (STA) Product Development Officer Sipho Simelane, said the hospitality sector was among the best performing in the tourism industry. He lauded the directors of Emfuleni for building the accommodation facility, stating that it was important to establish relations with other similar facilities in the vicinity for mutual benefit.
Simelane also stated that the opening of the hotel perfectly coincided with the STA rolling out the voluntary grading exercise, applications for which opened on August 1. The grading exercise, said Simelane, was aimed at star-rating all accommodation facilities in the country on a voluntary basis.
“While registration for hospitality accommodation facilities in the country is compulsory, grading will be done on a voluntary basis, and on a first-come-first-serve basis, so we look forward to seeing Emfuleni also applying for the latter,” said Simelane.
Director of Emfuleni Lifestyle Daladi Dlamini, said he was humbled by the support the establishment was getting from both locals and visitors and said he hoped the new accommodation facility that they have added at the site will enjoy similar support. He said the opening of new business ventures run by emaSwati (Swazi people) was in line with His Majesty King Mswati III’s Vision 2022, which foretells a developed state by the year 2022.
The roof-wetting ceremony on Friday was also attended and sponsored by officials and staff from Mbhilibhi Group, Nedbank Swaziland, and Eswatini Tourism Authority, among others.
