Boxing Day Holiday – 27 December 2021

Boxing day which is the 26th December of every year, which falls on a Sunday this year, will be observed on 27 December 2021. This was announced by Minister of Home Affairs HRH Princess Lindiwe today in a press statement. The Minister has issued the notice in terms of the Public Holiday Act, 1938, particularly Section 2 (a) which reads “if any such day falls in a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a public holiday.”
