FNB Eswatini has announced a series of customer-focused pricing changes, headlined by free card swipes for SicaloZero account holders, as the bank steps up efforts to ease customers’ financial burden amid ongoing economic pressures.

Effective July 1, 2026, customers using the bank’s SicaloZero account will no longer pay transaction fees when making card purchases.

The account, which is designed for individuals earning up to E10 000 per month, including informal traders, also continues to offer no monthly account maintenance fee.

The move forms part of a wider review of the bank’s pricing structure for the new financial year, with more than 100 banking services now available at no charge.

FNB Eswatini Executive Head of Retail, Dr. MncedziNgomane, said the bank had carefully considered the varying needs of its customers before implementing the new pricing model.

“We understand that our customers have differing needs and we considered this as we deliberated on our pricing for the new financial year.

We are therefore pleased that we have addressed critical needs across our different customer profiles, ensuring that, wherever they are in their life journey, our customers feel the helping hand of FNB Eswatini,” he said.

Dr Ngomane added that, while swiping has been made free for SicaloZero customers, monthly account fees for Private Wealth, Private Clients and bundled Platinum customers remain unchanged.

He also noted that fee increases on the Smart account have been kept below the rate of inflation.

In another customer-friendly adjustment, the bank has introduced a free first eWallet withdrawal through its CashPlus service, which is available via more than 800 active agents across Eswatini.

According to FNB Eswatini Chief Marketing Officer Sibusile Dlamini, the revised pricing structure reflects the bank’s commitment to improving accessibility and promoting financial inclusion.

She said the changes are aligned with the bank’s new brand promise, “Help is for Everyone,” which aims to ensure banking services remain accessible to all emaSwati, regardless of age, location or employment status.

“Our new pricing brings this promise to life in line with our efforts to expand financial inclusion,” Dlamini said.

The bank revealed that approximately 62 per cent of its pricing has remained unchanged despite the current economic climate.

Customers will also continue to benefit from a range of free services, including CashPlus deposits, internal debit orders and scheduled payments.

The latest announcement follows another customer relief initiative introduced in May, when FNB Eswatini doubled its Fuel Cash Back Rewards programme until August 2026 to help customers manage rising transport costs.

With the latest pricing changes, FNB Eswatini says it hopes to make everyday banking more affordable while strengthening financial inclusion across the country.
