Zimbabwe has become a new destination for local footballers.
The Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League has seen five local players move to the Castle-sponsored league.
The local talent that has moved to Zimbabwe includes five Nsingizini players: Kwakhe Thwala (Scotland FC ) and the Hardrock FC quartet of Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini, Sambulo Simelane, Thubelihle Mavuso and Yekisizwe Khumalo.
Thwala has already won two knockout tournaments in the Chibuku and Castle Cup.
The players helped their former local club make back-to-back continental appearances in the CAF Confederation and CAF championships.
They further won back-to-back titles with the Shiselweni side before their moves.
Former Mbabane Swallows captain Newman Philiso is plying his trade at Agama FC in the elite league.
Former Nsingizini Hotspurs head coach Alexio Sergion said the local players’ move will boost Eswatini.
“The Eswatini players’ move to Zimbabwe will develop the players’ talent and further boost Sihlangu since these players are gaining international exposure.

I am happy with the performance of these players and urge them to continue working hard,” he said.
Eswatini has 15 foreign-based players, including Kwakhe Tfwala (Scottland FC, Zimbabwe), Lindo Mkhonta (Zesco United, Zambia), Justice Figareido (Chippa United, South Africa), Thulani Njingane (Orbit College, South Africa),
Mxolisi Mkhonto (Botswana Defence Force), Banele Ndzabandzaba (Botswana Police XI), Sizwe Gwebu (Uganda Police), and the Ferraviaro duo Bandile Shongwe and Sanele Magwaza (Mozambique).
