American rapper Swae Lee may have only recently left South Africa, but it looks like his trip has already led to something fans have been hoping for.
The South African rapper Nasty C has confirmed that music has already been exchanged between the two camps, signalling that a collaboration is no longer just wishful thinking but something that is actively in the works.
Speaking during a recent livestream, Nasty C responded to a fan who mentioned that Swae Lee had publicly expressed interest in working with him.
“Yeah, they already sent it,” he said, before adding: “I knew before you guys said anything.”

Without revealing exactly what had been sent, the rapper assured fans that the process is already underway.
“They’ve already sent something, you don’t worry.”
The confirmation comes shortly after Swae Lee visited South Africa for the Hollywoodbets Durban July, where he performed at The Ascot marquee before spending time exploring Durban.
The American star documented much of his visit on social media, proudly sporting a Bafana Bafana jersey as he visited landmarks including the uMhlanga Promenade and Lighthouse, explored Umlazi’s Max’s Lifestyle and even shared clips of monkeys paying him a visit at The Oyster Box.
By the time he left South Africa, it was clear that the trip had made an impression.
Describing Durban as “black excellence”, Swae Lee praised the city’s atmosphere and the warm welcome he received from locals, saying that he couldn’t wait to return.
His visit also included an appearance on MacG’s “Podcast and Chill”, where he was asked which South African artists he would be interested in working with.
Without hesitation, he mentioned Nasty C, sparking excitement among fans who immediately began calling for the collaboration to happen.

It turns out those conversations had already moved beyond public interest.
If the collaboration is released, it will mark another major international link-up for Nasty C, who has spent years building relationships beyond South Africa while remaining one of the country’s biggest hip hop exports.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists including A$AP Ferg, Ari Lennox and T.I, continuing to bridge the gap between the local and international music scenes.
Swae Lee, born Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, is best known as one half of the Grammy-nominated hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd alongside his brother Slim Jxmmi.
Outside of the group, he has built a successful solo career through global hits such as “Sunflower” with Post Malone, “Unforgettable” with French Montana and Rae Sremmurd’s chart-topping anthem “Black Beatles”.ck Beatles”.
