Manzini Wanderers have finally found their man! South African businessman Thabo Maja looks set to be unveiled as Manzini Wanderers new Board of Directors Chairman in a week after agreeing in principle to buy 5 000 shares worth E2.5 million made available by the club early last month.
Wanderers made available 10 000 shares sold at E500 each last month in a bid to raise funds for the relegation-threatened hub side.
Eswatini Financial Times can exclusively reveal that a meeting was held between current Wanderers Board of Governor, Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli, who has replaced long-serving official, Sandile ‘Chief’ Dlamini, and Maja held in Pretoria early this week where a verbal agreement was made.
Maja is expected to sign a contractual agreement giving him a 50 per cent stake in the maroon and white outfit by Thursday next week.
“An agreement was reached in principle and all that is left now is for the signing of the documents handing him over the chairmanship at the club as 5 000 shares automatically makes him a majority shareholder. The rest of the shares are still up for grabs,” a source close to the deal confided to the Eswatini Financial Times this week. Read More
