Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini left the country for the SADC Extraordinary Organ Troika Summit in Windhoek, Namibia where he is expected to report on the security situation in the country.

The PM will be representing His Majesty King Mswati III at the summit and he jetted out of the country on Monday morning through the King Mswati III International Airport with Eswatini Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo.

Dlamini said Eswatini was part of the agenda at the summit where he will state the current situation about security. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.

“We are going to Namibia for the Troika meeting where was are going to represent the country having been sent by His Majesty King Mswati III as he is held up by other national duties. Troika is an organ in SADC that looks at security and safety. We were invited as we are part of the agenda where we are going to report on the country’s security situation,” he briefed the media before departure.

His Excellency Dr Hage G. Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia will chair the Summit in his capacity as the Chairperson of the Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation. The Organ Troika Summit is expected to discuss and find ways of addressing the political and security situation in the SADC region.
