On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the first tee-off in the FNB Challenge will be witnessed. This will be at the scenic Ezulwini Golf Course at Royal Swazi Spa.
Over 100 professional golfers from Eswatini and other parts of the world will battle for three days to win the championship.
This is the fifth edition, and as it gets closer to resumption, we highlight its previous winners and some of the 2026 edition entries. 
The main competition runs from Thursday until Friday.
FNB Eswatini will have Tuesday and Wednesday of golf experience alongside some of the local and visiting professionals – this is called the Pro-Am.
A staggering E396 000 is at stake for the champion.
Previous Winners:
2025 – Michael Hollick (SA)
– Finished at 16-under-par at the Ezulwini Golf Course. Not on the Sunshine Tour list of entrants for this edition.
– Hollick is currently a rookie on the DP World Tour for the 2026 season.
He earned his card after a standout 2025 campaign on the Sunshine Tour, where he finished seventh on the Order of Merit, having won twice in the season.
2024 – Daniel van Tonder (SA)
– Aggregated a total score of 202 at Nkonyeni Golf Estate.
2023 – Peter Karmis (SA)
– Won it with a total score of 10-under-par 206 at Nkonyeni but not in this year’s edition.
2022 – Jaco Prinsloo – (SA)
– Won the first edition at Nkonyeni Golf Estate with a score of 12-under-par, securing a three-stroke victory over the field.
– He is one of the entrants again this year.
Eswatini PROs’ Best Finish:
1. James Pennington – joint 37th in 2025.
– He has not entered this year’s tournament according to the Sunshine Tour list of entrants.
