The Government of Eswatini is mourning the sudden death of a Cameroonian delegate who passed away while attending the 17th European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) User Forum for Africa in Matsapha.
The delegate collapsed and was urgently attended to by the health team, which rushed him to hospital. However, his condition rapidly deteriorated upon arrival and he passed away.

The government said the deceased’s family had been notified and that it was working closely with the bereaved family and relevant authorities in Cameroon to facilitate the repatriation of his remains.
Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli conveyed the government’s condolences to the bereaved family, friends and colleagues, as well as the Government and people of Cameroon.
The government described the death as a sudden and tragic loss and extended its “deepest and heartfelt condolences” to all those affected.
