Victory for Swim Lab swimmers as they bring 7 Gold Badgers

The Swim Lab swimmers have done us proud bringing home 7 Gold Badgers after they participated in the Mpumalanga Winter Short Course Championships and brought home Over 12 Badges. The club had sent 20 swimmers to the three-day championships held at the Curro, Nelspruit over the past weekend which took place from Friday till Sunday. The squad was led by coach Meluleki Simelane also known as Sluga.

Those who brought gold Badges home are; Hayley Hoy, Simanga Dlamini, Luca Fraserburgh and Tiano Fraser to name a few. “The 8-year-old Lucy, was a Star as this was his first international gala since he first Joined us last Season” Coach Meluleki reported… Adding that “Sthembiso Mamba got 2 Silver and 1 Bronze in the 50 Fly clocking the fastest time of 27.89”.

Others Swimmers who won the prestigious Badges were Damien De Sousa, Raya Young and Jessica Njogore. Those who were part of the squad included; Swakhile Dlamini, Nina Hope, Eryn, Najma Karish, Hanad Karish, Faid Karish, Pedro De Sousa, Cameron Jele, Jason Njogore, Jake Craiver and Luaren Young.

“The Winter championship had over 14  Teams that competed in the championships and we were the only team from Eswatini,” Said Meluleki.
