Glitz and glamour were the order of the night at the Gala Charity Dinner hosted by Africa AD Agency (AAA) at The George Hotel last Saturday. After 08 Years, Africa AD Agency formally known as Swazi AD Agency decided to dine in style with Phumula Ngwane Home of the Aged.
Music was rendered by some of Eswatini’s best artists being; Ghetto Villa, NR and Comedian Giyane that led the attendees to be up their feet, laughing and singing along. It was indeed a red-carpet event. “It was indeed an amazing night since our Online Newspaper was officially launched.
Prizes were also put asunder as lovely Miss Alicia Horton walked away with the Best-Dressed award. Saving the best for the best, an amount of E2000.00 was also presented to her as per the award requirements. “It felt amazing, the whole experience was just nostalgic and surreal as I had no clue that I would win the competition.” Said Miss Horton
Miss Horton then joined Eswatini Daily News at their interview on one on one stripped conversation where she revealed the concept being the pink dress. “Basically, the whole idea of the pink dress was to recognize and sympathize with all the people out there fight against breast cancer.” Miss Horton was operated for breast cancer at the mere age of 15 in 2011.
Fortunately, she survived through the tragic procedure and she urges that all women, young and old to please get checked. An available place for the ladies to go test for breast cancer is LaMvelase Clinic in Manzini, at no cost. Africa AD Agency’s founder stated that this event was not the end but the beginning of a new era as the Red-Carpet event was to be carried out every three months.
