SEM Cares Foundation to create 1500 job opportunities for the Youth

Unemployment is the reason behind the hard economic times the world is going under. Job losses, the forever growing population and advancement in technology is the reason why 205 million of the world population is unemployed.

Unfortunately, the unemployment stress is mostly felt by those who are supposed to be the future of the world (youth) because 61.7% of the unemployed population is the youth.

Africa AD Agency has established a youth programme called SEM cares Foundation whose mission is to help the youth to develop their skills and help them identify their strength potential to establish their own businesses which are market relevant and community-based.

SEM Cares Foundation believes that it is the responsibility of all Emaswati to provide intimate and social support services to the youth in order to draw them closer to society and create a warm environment around them.

The foundation is currently made up of 30 vibrant members, both girls and boys and currently, the foundation is looking to select 3 of their members to be brand ambassadors. Eleven of the girls are competing themselves for the spots and through this process, they are getting to know and understand each other well as they participate in team building activities as part of the competition requirements.

On the 27th of April, SEM Cares Foundation will be hosting a fundraising event that will consist of a fashion show and entertainment for the day which consists of Music and Comedy. The event will be held at the George Hotel from 2 pm till late. The line-up includes only local acts, Dr Shakes, Mr. Kangaroo, Kourtney Kay, Poet TK, Flowee and Mthimkhulu who confirmed their performances on the event. Tickets to the event are already available with SEM Cares Foundation members and at Dairy Board Building in Manzini. For more information, you may contact 78327945.
