Eswatini Signs Memorandum Of Understanding With Singapore

The Kingdom of Eswatini has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore. According to the Swazi Observer publication, this was signed at the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation yesterday, with the aim of promoting economic development towards achieving Vision 2022.

Singapore was represented by the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise during the signing, which is to strengthen the existing friendly relations with the Republic of Singapore. A collaboration of this nature would contribute to the enhancement of future bilateral cooperation.

The Kingdom of Eswatini also has a desire to engage SCE to promote technical cooperation by sharing Singapore’s developmental experience.

Principal Secretary Joel Nhleko at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said: “Eswatini wanted to develop more, continuing to tell Emaswati how will this improve businesses”.

“This would then improve the business climate and more specifically the implementation of an online one-stop shop business portal”, It would also help in implementing e-government services and the digital transformation of government”.

He the lastly said digitalization of home affairs function and border controls that include identity documents, passports and national population database would be another benefit. As stated on Eswatini Obsever’s publication.
