The Ngwenya/Oshoek Border Post will now permanently operate 24 hours effective from Friday, 17 December 2021. The announcement was made by Minister of Home Affairs HRH Princess Lindiwe today.

This follows a series of bilateral talks between the kingdom of Eswatini and the Republic of South Africa, spearheaded by His Majesty King Mswati 111, spanning several years. “This arrangement is in line with the economic aspirations of both countries and it will bring immeasurable socio-economic benefits to our people. It will further facilitate increased regional integration with our neighbouring states” said Minister HRH Lindiwe.

Officials from all relevant Government departments and stakeholder organizations in both Eswatini and the Republic of South Africa will be working jointly on the modalities to ensure that all systems will take off smoothly on the 17th of December 2021.
