His Majesty King Mswati III has urged all emaSwati to work together with police to ensure that law and order is maintained consistently towards achieving socio-economic development in Eswatini. His Majesty was been during the commemoration of the 19th Police Day held at Matsapha Police Academy.

“Crime and other peace-threatening activities can disrupt the socio-economic development of a country and seriously impact on the well-being and sustainable livelihood of a Nation. It is for this reason that we continue to urge all peace-loving emaSwati and the entire Nation to work with the police towards ensuring that law and order is maintained at all times. Every citizen should play a role in curbing crime, hence the saying, ‘nawe uliphoyisa,” the King said.

He mentioned that the Kingdom of Eswatini has prioritised broadening its investment base and creating jobs, which, among other factors, can be realised if safety and security continue to be of the required standard.

“The high work ethic and level of acumen in your policing approaches should be maintained and continually strengthened. This is because safety and security are central to any Nation’s socio-economic development aspirations, in particular, the ability to bring on board investment capital and the creation of sustainable employment for citizens.”
