Highlanders, Buffaloes in humdinger clash on ‘Super Sunday’

By Lwazi Dlamini

MTN league first-round champions, Young Buffaloes will face a stern test at the start of the second round when they lock horns with Mbabane Highlanders at Mavuso Sports Centre on Sunday.

The clash is set for a 3:45 pm kick-off time. The Manzini derby will raise the curtain when high-flying Moneni Pirates host cross-city rivals, Denver Sundowns at 1:30 pm.

Highlanders played to a goalless draw with the army side on January 21. According to a fixture released by Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Football Manager, Petros Vilakati, four of the Week 14 fixtures, shall be played on Saturday with Mbabane Swallows kicking off the league programme on Thursday.

The red and white glamour side hosts Tambuti FC at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground at 3:00 pm. At the self-same Prince of Wales Sports Ground on Saturday, Manzini Wanderers face bottom-loggers Seven Dreams in a six-pointer with Terasayi Changara’s charges hoping to continue with their revival in their favourite hunting ground.
