The heavy rains which are currently taking place in the country will persist until Saturday.
This is according to the Eswatini Meteorological Services. According to information provided by the department, heavy rains were experienced in the country, particularly in the east, starting from Wednesday morning, until Thursday morning. Some areas in the country are flooded.

The 24-hour data collected on Thursday at 8 am shows that Mlawula received over 204 mm. The area was followed by Nkalashane with 189.4 mm.
Meteorologist Sydney Lukhele said they had forecasted that the rains would continue until Saturday when the atmospheric system causing the rains will leave the country. He said there was still a possibility of a few thunderstorms on Sunday.

He sent a strong warning to people against going near rivers and any other flooded streams.
