Green Mamba’s emphatic 3-1 win over Manzini Sea Birds at Ka-Langa Technical Centre on Sunday afternoon saw the ‘Correctional Services’ side return to the summit of the MTN log standings.

The Ernest Mavuso’s in-form side now has 37 points in 16 games, just one point above undefeated army side Young Buffaloes who have 36 points following Saturday’s fortuitous 2-1 win over Moneni Pirates at Mhlume Stadium.

Buffaloes had temporarily assumed pole position on Saturday following the victory over Pirates but with Green Mamba’s 12th win of the season, the army side has been relegated to position two, five points ahead of the two Capital City giants, Mbabane Highlanders and Mbabane Swallows who both have 31 points after the round of 16 matches.

Green Mamba, league champions in the 2018/2019 season while under the guidance of Caleb Shongwe, who is now Swallows coach, have won seven games in a row.
