MPs LaZwide and Timothy attend the first sitting of Parliament

By Ntombi Mhlongo

After missing the State Opening of the 5th Session of the 11th Parliament last week, MPs Timothy Myeni and LaZwide showed up for the first sitting.

Also present was Nhlambeni MP Manzi Zwane who was absent last week. The first sitting took place at the House of Assembly. Before the start of the sitting, the two MPs were seen having some good moments with their colleagues.

Myeni was seen shaking hands with the Deputy Prime Minister, Themba Masuku who is on record having criticised the MPs for absenteeism last week.

Meanwhile, there was only one item on the Order Paper and it was a House motion. The motion was for the Prime Minister, Cleopas Dlamini to move that a humble address be presented to His Majesty King Mswati III.

The address, according to the motion, is to thank His Majesty for the Speech he delivered on the occasion of the State Opening of the 5th Session of the 11th Parliament last week.
